LJ anti-strike in sim_rants

There's an anti-strike over in sim_rants, with the goal to post as much as possible (on any topic, not necessarily Sims-related) from 21 March 00:00 GMT until 23:59 GMT. There are already 120 entries dated 20 March (from those west of GMT for whom the anti-strike started on the afternoon or evening of 20 March).

So if you want to read lots of stuff, or post lots of stuff, on that day, that would be one possible avenue.

A story of how a person's career was destroyed by an anonymous accusation.

Briefly, a teacher was accused of indecent exposure in public. His name was all over the papers even though he was charged but not convicted; the person or people who reported him were not named.

He ended up losing his job and not being able to work in teaching ever again, despite protesting his innocence. Eventually, he committed suicide.

It's the kind of journal entry I can imagine missysedai writing. Kind of.

I wonder why "awesomesauce" is called "awesomesauce".

I mean, where'd the "sauce" bit come from? And why "sauce" in particular?

I just realised that though I had set up my computer to record tonight's feature film, I set it to end at 22:59 yet the film ended at 23:15, so the last quarter of an hour is missing.

I fail at recording.
