Today, we're going to learn something called "reading the previous comments"

Observe this lj_nifty post and its comments.

Apparently, the script advertised has a problem that causes it not to count anyone over 35, possibly because of problems related to using a representation of time that can't handle dates before 1970 (e.g. standard Unixoid time_t in some flavour or other). Count the number of top-level comments that comment on this, apparently without looking to see whether this point was addressed yet or not.

When I saw the original post, I was just wondering how many people were going to reply complaining that it didn't list ages for people who don't have their birthdates in their userinfo.

Well, count the number of open support tickets about the same issue? Notice anything?

Sometimes people (including me) are just too lazy to read through stuff. No one reads EULAs or TOSes.. I guess that's just how it is ;)

Hm, I suppose the situation is similar, yes. Though I don't consider it like that since I don't think you're pointed to currently-open support requests, except very indirectly, when you're submitting one of your own.
