So, assault rifles are fine, nose hair scissors aren't?

King, who in civilian life is the Doraville police chief, rolled his eyes at the FAA regulation that requires soldiers — all of whom were armed with an arsenal of assault rifles, shotguns and pistols — to surrender pocket knives, nose hair scissors and cigarette lighters.

“If you have any of those things,” he said, almost apologetically, “put them in this box now.”

You can see a rifle. You can't see someone hiding smaller personal hygiene type items.

And the lighters is a kinda obvious thing. There is no smoking anyway.

My dad was in Kuwait for a few months before his retirement (they were gonna extend his enlistment, but then the Marine Corps went "What are you doing in Kuwait?" he replied "You sent me over here with my people"... and the Marine Corps said "Get your ass hoem now.") His unit left February 8th, 2004... My dad was back in time for Mother's Day in May... the rest of his unit was home in time for my graduation May 23rd, except for a few guys who were sent over later. Then my dad found out a few months or so ago that they're planning on sending a lot of the same guys back. To do police work. My dad's squadron does communications and stuff. Maintenance sort of things. They're not police officers.

That article mentione dht esand putting a tan film on everything. Yes, it does. My dad's gear was banished to teh outdoors until he took the hours ot hose it all off. His boots are still somewhat tan. They were brand new and black when he left for Kuwait. When he came back, you could throw them against a wall and the dirt wouldn't fall off.

Lol, I do agree with bacskocky though.
