%$@$!!

I don't like it when my co-workers use four-letter words around me. So far, I've managed to get them to reduce the frequency when I'm around, except for a younger guy who feels that profanity of some kind is necessary in order to vent.

He finally agreed that when he wants to swear, he'll at least do so in a language that I don't speak so that I am not so easily offended. After a short brainstorm in the room on languages I don't speak :D, we came up with Klingon.

Today, I've heard him use petaQ twice already... which is certainly better than English four-letter words, as far as I'm concerned :) (That word is glossed as "%$@$!!".)

I have tried to be more conscious of what I say and curse as little as possible. I know I'm still pretty bad about it but sometimes I just get so worked up I'm not really thinking about what I am saying. If it means anything, I know that I do it a whole lot less than I used to and I can tell that I'm making progress. Having a filthy mouth is a really, really hard habit to break.

That's great. Seriously. (And I'm sure other people are happy about that, too!)
