Hello, 1993?

I was pointed to [livejournal.com profile] revmischa's LiveJournal (he's an intern at SixApart) with the words "has the ugliest LJ layout of all time"... and wow, it does look... different...

Ahaha, classic!

I also love the bio. That cracks me up.

Wow, that does look pretty...interesting. On a different topic, your icon makes me giggle.

Thanks!

Oh, out of curiosity: I wonder whether you ever saw many of the websites he's parodying? I can imagine that when you stated using the Web, most of that kind of thing had already gone out of fashion.

Or in other words: in case you didn't know, lots of personal websites used to look like that.

I've seen quite a few that look like that, yes. I started using the internet when I was six. Don't underestimate my geekiness. :P

I guess I wasn't sure at what age your parents would let you loose on the Internet... I got the impression that they were fairly protective, at least in some respects, so it wouldn't have surprised me to find out you only got on a couple of years ago.

They are fairly protective. Come to think of it, I'm not entirely sure why they let me loose online. Hm.

AAAA! Return to the early 90's!

I think it's a joke though. I like the "Netscape 3.0" button right next to the "Best viewed with Internet Explorer" message.

Yeah, that's what I thought, too! Haven't seen funky animated "email me" GIFs or "Under Construction!" signs for years. (Thank goodness.)

Yeah, I think so, too.

Hee! I noticed that as well :)

Oh dear...I think my first website looked something like that.

Throw in some banner ads and pop-ups and it's a My First Geocities Site.
