Rats, forgot to login to Hotmail in the last 30 days, it seems, and when I came back today, I had to reactivate my account and I lost all my messages.

Ah well, TANSTAAFL and YGWYPF.

Maybe I should just ditch the accounts; after all, they get more spam than anything else... but sometimes it's convenient to have (a) a spam sink or (b) a webmail account.

Any suggestions for replacements for (b)? Preferably free of charge. (I suppose I could use GMX like that, but the accounts I have there are for forwarding... though I suppose I could create one that doesn't forward. OTOH GMX deletes your mail after 30 days, which is bad.)

Yahoo? I'm pretty happy with Yahoo.

I use yahoo for my spam filtering. They also have spam filter software on which works nicely. I don't get very much spam at all. I keep two accounts - one completely anonymous for potential spam generating stuff and a real one for less risky stuff but where I still don't want to use my real email addy. My real one is getting a heap of spam this year for some reason. I'd never had any before *sigh*.

At least you don't have to deal with the bounces

I got a lot of bounces from hotmail from your London.pm subscription. Oh well.

My London.pm subscription causes Hotmail bounces? *confused*

I was subscribed to yapc-europe but I didn't think that I had subscribed to London.pm from any of my Hotmail accounts.

Will have to email you when I get back home to sort this out. Apologies.
