Adults sleep on the floor

pneFriends of ours sleep on a mattress on the floor since they moved house; their bedroom is underneath a sloping roof and their bed doesn't fit into it any more.
Recently, their little boy asked for the bars to be taken off his little bed, and a couple of days ago, he asked for his mattress to be taken out and placed on the floor.
Bettina says he probably thinks that all adults sleep on the floor and only little kids sleep in beds :D
