Finally did what I had been meaning to do for a while: went to the Windows Update site and installed most of the recommended software updates, including MSIE 6.0 SP1 over the 5.5 I had running previously.

I would have preferred to stay with 5.5 but I read quite a while ago about an exploit that affected everyone with 5.5 installed even if that was not the browser they were using. *sigh* Let's hope that this browser has different bugs.
