When dialog boxes get too long

Found this while trying to open an MSWord document in slightly nested path; the document itself had a fairly long filename.
Rough translation:
Path/to/VeryLongFilename.doc should only be opened in readonly mode if you do not need to save any changes. Do you wish to open the file in read
[Yes] [No] [Cancel]
That is, the message was simply truncated. Oops.

Date: Wednesday, 21 January 2004 09:49 (UTC)I can't remember what application it was that gave me some kind of warning, but shortened my file path with ellipses in the middle (like, "path\...\file.xml") and I was particularly annoyed because the important stuff was within the ellipses.
You'd think they would have figured out how to put hyperlinks in their dialogue pop-ups by now. Like hey, smart people, how about just giving me the file name that's a link to open a new Exploder window that takes me to the right directory =P
