Suitable inscription for a gravestone?

I like that. If I were to have a gravestone, I'd want something like that on it.

(I'm an organ donor and the rest is getting cremated, so no gravestone for me.)

organ donation

I'm in favour of donating my organs, too. I figure I won't need them after I'm dead, so why not let someone else profit from them in the meantime?

(FWIW, I believe in resurrection, but I don't believe I need all my organs to be in my corpse for that. After all, what'd happen with people who are cremated, for example? Or who die in a fire or an explosion?)

Well supposedly the body we're going to have after resurrection is tons better than the body we got now, so we probably dont really want/need the parts we're living with today anyway. By the time you're 90 years old and blind and can't hardly walk, you are going to really be hoping for upgraded body parts after the resurrection anyway. And I think that if another person got to live and give good things to the world after your death because of your gift of a functional body part, that would probably be taken into account. I can't really think of anything biblical that would say not to give your organs. :)

*nods*

I think it'll resemble us in appearance (at least, resemble us at one stage in our life), but it'll be a perfected body. For example, we won't need glasses any more because our vision will be fine, and everone will have two arms and two legs, and the like.

(I wonder what'll happen to Siamese twins. My personal guess is that they'll be separated in the resurrection.)

i think so too.... i dont think that people are meant to be conjoined, otherwise we'd all be born that way..

I actually laughed. Geek.

That and I have horrible fears about people killing you to take your organs anyway even though you aren't "really dead" yet and it's like you die watching your liver being pulled out or something.
