I'm an uncle!
Thursday, 19 December 2002 06:22Felipe called yesterday evening at 10:50 p.m. to say that "we have a baby in the house"!
We didn't answer the phone that late but I heard it this morning on the answering machine. Congratulations Ireen and Felipe!
(And no, I don't know yet whether it's a boy or a girl -- I'm sure I'll find out today.)
Update 09:30 a.m.: It's a girl: Emily Suzanne Pinto Newton, 4600 g [10 lb 2 oz], born by Caesarian section.
Update 2002-12-25: 52 cm (20.5 in), APGAR scores (1/5/10 min) 9/10/10. Lots of black hair. Undefinable eye colour. And simply Emily Suzanne Pinto (they probably will give her a German-style rather than Peruvian-style family name, i.e. only the father's name and not also the mother's).
