It's my Saint's Day today—or would be, if I were Greek Orthodox.

Apparently, it'd be on the 3rd of May if I were Roman Catholic, and I don't know where Lutherans put it. I find this a little confusing, since as I understand it, a saint's feast is on the anniversary of his death. Now Philip was one of the original twelve apostles, so he lived well before the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches split apart (...he says, trying to avoid saying who split off from whom), so if his day was celebrated back then, they should be able to agree on a date.

Nevertheless, since I first came into much contact with saints' feast days in Greece (where one's Name Day may be more important than one's birthday in terms of celebrating), I pick the 14th of November for my Name Day.
