Make people choose more distinctive usernames!

Random thought: task number 1159

A cow-orker told me about some debugging code I had accidentally left active in a file I had checked in, so I wanted to check it out of source code control quickly and fix that.

I noticed that the task I created for this was assigned number 1159, which reminded me of opal1159.

Logging and screening

I've noticed that a number of users and communities log IP addresses either for anonymous users or for all users, or that they screen comments, and I wonder what their motivations are. Have you had bad experiences? Are you simply cautious? Something else?
