I was surprised to find out that Klingon has an official ISO 639-2 alpha-3 language code "tlh".
I knew Lojban officially got "jbo" not long ago but didn't know Klingon was represented as well.

Today, I had my first IM conversation with Stella :)
When I set up the new computer, I had installed gaim. Yesterday, Stella asked whether I could set it up so she could chat with me, in case I work in Wolfsburg, since it'd be cheaper than phoning, and so I set up an AIM account for her (thanks to the helpful link in gaim's FAQ, this was easy; the hard bit was finding a username that wasn't already taken but was still memorable) and set up gaim on her XP account & added my AIM account to her Buddy List.
And today I got my first IM from her :) worked pretty well.
First she got addicted to eBay, now it's AIM; she seems to be warming up to the idea of using the computer ^^.
A whole archive of computer stupidities.
Stories that make me realise that what's second nature for me (for example, that moving the mouse causes the cursor to move in a similar manner, or that you can move windows by dragging their title bar) are completely alien to new people, who have to learn things first.
