A headline in the Bay City Times (of Bay City, Michigan) for 21 May 2004 was spotted by G H Gordon Paterson, among others: “Community bands together to help burn victim’s family”. Vigilantism isn’t dead, then?

Saturday, 5 June 2004 16:59Just got mail from the electricity company, saying they're giving us back about €70 on last year's electricity bill.
Stella is happy and says that a refund is better than an additional payment… though from the point of view of who gets the interest from the difference, the latter would seem better :)
Still, a bit of extra cash is fun.
