The Underhanded C Contest is "an annual contest to write innocent-looking C code implementing malicious behavior. In many ways this is the exact opposite of the Obfuscated C Code Contest: in this contest you must write code that is as readable, clear, innocent and straightforward as possible, and yet it must fail to perform at its apparent function. To be more specific, it should do something subtly evil."

This is where "catch-all" email addresses are bad, since the recent spate of stock spams has been dictionary attacks, all of which succeed. Bleah. But I've been too lazy to setup a whitelist since then I'd have to add an address each time I make up a new one.

Things have abated a bit, though, now that I trash mail with certain subjects.
