Today, I was asked to take yet another web survey—this one by SourceForge.

Much of it seemed to be geared to people with influence and/or high up in the hierarchy; I mean, I have no idea what "my entire organisation"'s IT expenditures are, what software it uses, etc. etc. Also, many surveys ask what my input is in purchasing (presumably so they can target their ads to appeal to the people who actually have the power to influence the choice of product).

However, I wonder how many people who do have influence in purchasing take that kind of survey... I'd have thought that they'd be too busy to waste time on something like that, assuming they visit the site in the first place.
