sein vs. haben

Today (while pondering which verbs in German take sein as an auxiliary to form the perfect tense), it struck me what a difference the choice of auxiliary verb can make: compare Die Tür ist zugeschlagen "The door fell shut (loudly)" with Die Tür hat zugeschlagen "The door hit (someone forcefully)".
