Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] auster, who got it from [livejournal.com profile] danceinacircle:

In a comment press ctrl+v, thats right just paste. Whatever it is leave it there. Don't cheat and copy something else. Just right now do it and paste whatever you've got.

What I had when I saw the meme was simply the URL http://www.livejournal.com/users/gwalla/39856.html, which I had copied from one browser into another. (At home, I usually use Opera for browsing, but Firefox for Gmail, which is where I had read the URL, in a mailing list post.)

My ctrl+v: "21 Jump Street slash"

Heh. Well, you asked :P. I was replying to one of [livejournal.com profile] ladybirdsleeps' entries and when I reply, I usually put what I'm replying to in italics in the comment itself.

I often do that, too - especially when I comment on more than one portion of the same comment separately, or when I'm replying to only a portion of the comment.

What genre would you call Einstürzende Neubauten? I ask 'cause it's multiple in the iTunes, here, and multiple genres is confusinge.
10:10
um, well they're pretty much the inventors of industrial music, but they don't make what you would call industrial anymore
Aaah, so multiple is ok.
I'd call them avante garde, maybe
hehe
that's the two we saw, on them.
industrial and avant garde?
I'll just leave it, then. Fun job telling your brother later. He hates teh multiple genres.
yes
I think attempting to label them in general would be silly
anyway, I'm working desperately to finish my thesis in time to mail it today
Well, sure, but if that's always the case we could call them Unclassifiable, and everybody's happy.
oh!
then don't reply, geez.
workity!
meh
later

Yeah, or else it gets too confusing. I usually have more than one topic in a single LJ entry (usually three or four) and it's just irritating when someone responds with, "I totally agree!" With what? is all I can think of when that happens.

Making clear what you're responding to = a good thing.
