...that Subway changed the way they cut your bread?

I didn't; I only knew the new cut (aka "hinge cut"), and wasn't introduced to the old way until today, when I read a customers_suck article where someone mentioned the U-cut as something they preferred.

I had no idea what they were talking about; fortunately, [livejournal.com profile] rosefox supplied a link to a rant about how the new cut is worse than the old, which included diagrams and pictures.

I wonder whether the workers in the local Subway franchise here in Harburg know how to make the old cut? (Apparently, knowing how to cut it is only half the task; the way you fill a sandwich is also different.)

I was only introduced to Subways a few weeks ago and I only know the 'new cut'. Doean't bother me at all...
