The mother that didn't come back

Just read over in customers_suck an entry from someone who works in a pet shop. Their stories are usually pretty interesting and often funny, but this time, there was on in the middle that was not so funny.

You know how sometimes parents dump their kids in a pet shop and then wander around the mall, thinking the pet shop people will keep them occupied? (And they hate it.) Well, one day the mother didn't come back to collect her kids.
