I saw a link to Distributed Proofreading for Project Gutenberg, where volunteers can proofread OCRed pages, comparing the image with the OCRed text and making corrections. I've done 18 pages so far.

[livejournal.com profile] n_true, you may be interested to hear that two projects available for proofing are A complete grammar of Esperanto and Fundamenta Krestomatio :) Then you can use your Esperanto skills (which is useful when the image is difficult to read and the OCR made a mistake)! The last couple of pages I did from the Krestomatio were part of the story "The Little Mermaid"; cute :)
