When I came back to the cafeteria a while ago, there were a bunch of kids playing around--carrying one another around on horseback, playing bullfighter, and similar.

I don't think the temple is a suitable place for children as there isn't really anything to do for them. Which is probably the reason why you're only supposed to bring children along if they're being nursed or if they will be sealed to their parents.
