Date: Thursday, 18 January 2007 21:12 (UTC)I'm glad I didn't go to town today - no trains in NRW either. I'd have found somewhere to sleep, of course, but it would have been quite a fuss.

Date: Thursday, 18 January 2007 21:37 (UTC)I'm sorry you're stuck. Hope you get home all right tomorrow. At least you did manage to get accomodation. I would have thought there might be none available, with all those stranded passengers. Poor folks.

Date: Friday, 19 January 2007 11:40 (UTC)Yes, I thought so, too -- I was a bit surprised that they still had rooms available in hotels within walking distance of the station.
But they had not only a double room free, but at least two singles! (I had been prepared to share a room with a co-worker who was also travelling home from Wolfsburg.)
It was a slightly expensive place, but still, I would have thought everything would be full. So I was glad to be in a warm, dry room for the night.
