pneWow, Tomcat saves my session attributes even when I restart the server.
Apparently, it serialises the session into a work directory when the server is stopped, and deletes the file after it's brought back up.
I noticed when an attribute I had stuck in from a previous servlet was still there after I restarted the server and reloaded the page.
