There's a Maltese verb that I call wera juri (I tend to remember them by the third person singular masculine perfective plus the third person singular masculine imperfective, since that combination is how one of my grammar books cites them; other common citation forms seem to be the third person singular masculine perfective [as in Arabic] and the second person singular imperfective, but this method includes both perfective and imperfective stems, which is good).

I put that phrase into Yahoo just now and was amused to get... lots of German-language hits talking about Russian people called Вера and Юрий.

Edit: that was, perhaps, because my Opera search redirected me to de.search.yahoo.com, the German-language edition. Using search.yahoo.com, I get a couple of German-transcribed Russians but mostly Maltese hits.
