Is anyone on my friends list (other than jessical) on Friendster?

I had a brief look around; Jessica lists some friends whose names I recognise but whom I don't really know other than in the sense "know of them", but perhaps there are others?

Here is what is in their "Invite-a-Friend" emails they encourage you to use to broaden your circle of acquaintances, so it'll perhaps serve as a brief introduction to the site.

Philip Newton has invited you to join Philip's personal and private community at Friendster, where you and Philip can network with each other's friends.

Friendster is an online community that connects people through networks of friends for dating or making new friends.

Friendster is for people who are single, people in relationships, and anyone who wants to make new friends or help their friends meet new people.

• Make new friends
• Help your friends meet new people

Once you join Friendster, you will be automatically connected to your friend Philip, and all of Philip's friends.

When I enter that in Friendster's User Search, I get "That is not a valid email address."

I've just joined, but don't appear to be "connected" to you in any way that I can tell:p I'm using my LJ email address...

Well, I've only been to the site once or twice so I don't know exactly how it works.

What I can tell you is that I got an email from Friendster telling me that someone wanted to be added to my friends list; that carried your nik-w.co.uk address. So I suppose even if they're invited, the inviter has to confirm friendship? Or did you sign up twice, once with @livejournal.com and once with @nik-w.co.uk?

At any rate, it'll have to wait; I can't get through to Friendster at the moment.

Ah, right; on re-reading the message it said "(firstname) (lastname) (email address) has joined Friendster in response to your invitation. You must confirm that (firstname) should be added to your list of friends. Please approve or cancel this request by accessing the Friendster web site: (URL)." (Emphasis mine)

Strange: on the site itself, it gives your LiveJournal email address. ("(firstname) (lastname) <nik_w at livejournal dot com> has tried to add you as a friend)

I wonder why it thinks you have two addresses.

...OK, added now. I think you should see me listed as a Friend now when you go to your Friendster page.

I signed up with my @nik-w address and then changed it to my LJ one as I thought that might be something to do with not being on your list - I Was just clutching at straws, really, but it all appears to be working now!:)
