I just had a brief look at my spam filter, to see whether it had caught anything it shouldn't have.

By the looks of it, I had last cleaned up end of October. In that past month, over 13'000 emails have accumulated in that box. o.O

Well, I'm glad I didn't have to download them all.

Wow. That's when you're really glad for spam filters.

Once the people who host my vanity domain started using SpamAssassin (whose score I use to filter stuff out), my spam load dropped tremendously.

When Swen was going around, it was pretty bad, though, since there were all those 150KB emails. My domain hoster started scoring emails with .EXE attachments at +100 after a while (limit for spam is 5.00), which dealt with that, though. But until then, I learned to download headers only first and the delete suspicious emails straight from the box rather than download them.
