Yay for friend colours
Thursday, 25 December 2003 19:00It's fun being able to begin reading an entry on my Friends Page and not seeing the poster's name yet (because it's vertically centred in the table cell) but knowing who it is anyway because of the background colour I've assigned to that friend.
Pity that doesn't scale, though :) But for a bunch of people, I can recognise them fairly consistently by colour (especially the ones that post more often), and there aren't that many colours that are assigned to multiple people.
(Hm, I wonder what colour, if any, different people have assigned me.)

Date: Thursday, 25 December 2003 12:21 (UTC)For some people, I tried to find colours that "fit" them somehow, but for many (especially people I added later) it was simply "which colour haven't I used yet" coupled with "it shouldn't be too close to an existing colour, either, if possible".
But I think I chose yours fairly early, so I was probably influenced by your journal style.

Date: Thursday, 25 December 2003 13:42 (UTC)I added a whole bunch of people at once within a month of joining support, and I'd already used the majority of the "good" colour combinations, so support people all got the same colour.
I might, if I get ambitious, go through and reassign colours someday.

Whatever it was, it's purrtty, I like it.
Merry Christmas!
