*nods* Read 1500+ journals? I have a hard time keeping up with my few friends.

That journal's friends page makes for interesting reading, though; a kind of /random.bml :)

I also thought about whether a closed community might not have been better, but perhaps one of the limits they were testing was friend-ofs, which might or might not be a different limit from member-of.
