I just went shopping for lunch and for this afternoon, where there'll be a theatre production by the children of our ward and we were asked to bring some "finger food".

I noticed someone selling Hinz und Kunzt outside the supermarket, a newspaper sold by homeless people; they get to keep about half of the sales price (80¢ of €1.50). I confess I wasn't particularly interested in the contents but I decided to give him something after I came out, when I had some small change—mostly because of having read User: being_homelessCrystal's journal.

When I was done shopping, he wasn't there any more, but his newspapers were lying on the ground. I looked around and saw him enjoying a cup of coffee in the bakery next to the supermarket, so I went in and offered to buy a newspaper. He went out, sold me a newspaper, and then went back to his coffee.

Version 2.0 of the Forté Agent newsreader has come out.

I'll have to take a look at it; one of the things I found useful was that threading and sorting are now separated, so you should be able to, say, sort by date but still thread articles.

Just got back from the church where we watched a performance of Cinderella. I thought it was really well done.

They had Jeva and Verena play doves; Kathrin Köhler was Cinderella, Patrizia was the wicked step-mother and Lara-Mae and Bianca were the step-sisters. Andreas played the king, and Bettina, Thomas, and Sister Blume played various servants. Nicole Riquarts was the prince.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. Poor Kathrin probably had the hardest part, especially with having to change all the time. (The sisters kept their pretty dresses on after the first ball, but Cinderella changed back into her old clothes all the time.)

At the final ball, Kathrin wore her mother's wedding dress; she looked really good in it, I thought. But even in the plain dress and apron of her Cinderella part, she looked good.

After the play, there was finger food in the foyer (and the corridor wasn't really wide enough to let everybody get to the food in a reasonable amount of time).

In cases where you answer "something else", feel free to leave a comment explaining your pronunciation.

At least in Arabic, "Arabic" and "Hebrew" are nearly the same word: عربي vs عبري.
