Scrunchies

For some reason, I was thinking about scrunchies just now, the things some people put in their hair.

I googled randomly and a couple of the top hits were an entry in urbandictionary.com saying essentially "something that formerly everyone wore, but that you can't wear today without being chased out of school" and a website discussing whether the "don't wear scrunchies in public" rule applied or not.

Are scrunchies really that passé?

You know how when you've skipped back 75 entries on a journal, you get taken to day mode?

People used to think that this was due to database strain or similar constraints, but apparently this was a conscious decision.

Whodathunkit.

I just saw a guy and a girl talking in what sounded like Croatian... and the guy sounded so American to me!

It sounded so weird to me to hear someone speaking fluent Foreign... with an American accent.

I guess it just sounds a little incongruous to me. But more power to him if that was indeed the case! Learning another language is always cool, especially if you can carry on a fluent conversation and be understood, never mind having an accent.
