I just saw a guy and a girl talking in what sounded like Croatian... and the guy sounded so American to me!

It sounded so weird to me to hear someone speaking fluent Foreign... with an American accent.

I guess it just sounds a little incongruous to me. But more power to him if that was indeed the case! Learning another language is always cool, especially if you can carry on a fluent conversation and be understood, never mind having an accent.

I got a lot of this in Altena. For the first couple months, anyway. By the time I got back home, I had acquired a German accent (which still manifests from time to time, especially if I've been reading auf Deutsch) without even noticing.

i no a litl serbean. i doant no croashen but mabe a litl litel bit i undrstand. momy teetched me to rite cheeril bat i doant no how to rite on cheeril on conputer.

its eesier to spel on serbean cos they has a rool kako prichem tacko pisem. how i tock is how i rite. i do it on englis to.

Hi! I think knowing more than one language is fun, and can be useful. I think it's cool that you know some Serbian!

I only know a few words, such as Zdravo and Hvala, so you know more than I do :)
