I was just reading a Slashdot article about how "@" was added to the Morse code, and someone suggested:

Since there is a hypen and a period in Morse, you can send Morse Code over Morse Code.

You know, er, just to be stupid or something.

which I found rather amusing :)

Heh. Yeah. That's about as useful as double-UTF8'ing something, or hexdumping a hexdump. This is the opposite of data compression ;-)

Ooh, lotsa fun. Someday, just for the heck of it, I would like to send a telegram. We used to have a friend who did Ham radio stuff living across the street, and he wanted me to do so too. So I learned my Morse code and my terms for things, but I was too young to understand the physical, scientific radio stuff. So I couldn't get my license. And then I forgot it all. *sigh* Oh, well. Maybe someday.
