popwithfriends is back

As announced in this entry in paidmembers, the popwithfriends tool is back—find users that many of your friends list as a friend but whom you do not.

Fairly predictably, given the make-up of my friends list and the social make-up of support, the list consists mainly of a bunch of support volunteers and communities, though there are also a couple of people through London.pm.

Number one on the list is suggestions and number two is thebubba.

My friends list is fairly clustered - you could split them into several groups - all the people in one group know all or most of the people in their group and none/few of the people in the other groups! Therefore, my list is pretty much filled with people I've seen around - most of them friends of emmavesence as she seems to know millions of people!

powithfriends amuses me. It's a fairly nice list of people and communities I don't like, don't trust, have defriended in the past, and want as little to do with as possible (with a few exceptions).

Point :) Well, not so much the personal journals in my case, but most of the communities were "Yes, I'm aware of them, and had I wanted to join them, I would have, thank you very much".

The funny thing is, this is pretty much a list of people I've had fights with and de-friended, people who added me and removed me after about a week, and people I'm way too shy to friend. Now I'm all curious as to who's on yours.

they're both lovely. it may take them a while to notice or friend you back, and don't take it personally if that happens. i think rah goes through and adds people every now and then, she doesn't do it one at a time, but her entries are mostly public so it doesn't matter too much. i think i friended her about a month before she added me back. *shrugs* but yes, both of them are absolutely lovely. :)

and I stalked them both for quite a while before i got up the courage to add them. always so shy around nice people!

These can be divided into several groups:

• People I'm currently stalking. and may get up the courage to add eventually. or people i'll just continue stalking because i like their entries but don't want them to see mine, for one reason or another.
• Support/official communities I know about and look at when I'm curious about something in particular, but don't want to see on my friends page regularly.
• Communities that I wouldn't have access to (abuse communities, communities for cats i don't have supporthelp in)
• People who are nice, but I'm not interested in their entries or don't know them that well.
• And one or two people I just don't like all that much.
