Spiffy—just read that there will be a film called The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, after the C.S. Lewis book by the same name.

See Narnia.com for more information, or read the press release announcing the agreement. (More movie news.)

Ah, nostalgia. That reminds me I wanted to get myself the boxed set of the Narnia Chronicles (I used to have one but lent it to someone who ended up buying it off me).

Also reminds me of the "religious war" concerning the order of the books; IIRC there are two major reading orders: by Narnian chronology and in order of writing, and both have their merits. (I believe the "order of writing" one seemed the better to me at the time.) Though as I read this time line, the order of publication is not the same as the order of writing….

yay! I love the chronicles of narnia! That site even shows the books in earth years compared to narnia years.. how cool is that? Tho the first 1000 narnia years take 40 earth years then the next 1300 narnia years only take 3 earth years??

Can't wait tho. I'd love to see this well done. Are they gonna do the the whole series? (can't find anything on it yet)

I'm assuming that Narnia years pass at the same rate as Earth years, but that the various people who travelled to Narnia may have travelled in time as well as 'universe'.

So the chronology only really marks the times covered by one book. Or the main times seen by the people, rather - I seem to recall one book where the children visited various stages of Narnia's existence.
