Today is Pi Day, especially in those places that use middle-endian dates, making today 3/14 :-)

The most notable time of day is shortly before 2 p.m., when (on the 12-hour clock) it's 3/14 1:59.

Well, 26.5 seconds, which rounds to 27 using the common "round .5 and above up" rule.

It sorta works for us big-endian people too... if we ignore the year =)

The math society at my university (that is, the students' association for those of us who were in the math faculty) gave out free pie every year at 3/14 1:59. :)

To be accurate, they should have done it at 1:59 AM, but they waited until the afternoon.
