DeadJournal now unblocked
Monday, 5 April 2004 16:07Ooh, looks as if our company's filter now no longer blocks DeadJournal (I noticed when the little skull on a DJ user tag in an entry of Carina's showed up).

Date: Monday, 5 April 2004 07:54 (UTC)I seem to do this a bit: get fascinated by a subject, spend a lot of time on it for about half a year, then be fascinated by another one and drop the first. Or maybe I'm fascinated by four at a time and have to drop the first when I pick up a fifth. The results are similar.
I feel bad about not being able to devote time to things I previously enjoyed, but I've not had much success picking up things I used to do often.
Another victim is Usenet reading, for example; I'd like to be able to go back to reading newsgroups but I can't find the time. I also put quite a bit of effort into learning Klingon but haven't found the time recently. Or doing LiveJournal support, where I shot up in the highscore list quickly but where I haven't answered more than about ten questions in the last two months, at a guess.
So basically: just busy.
I still feel I haven't "left" the board so much as "haven't been there for a while", in the sense that I haven't made a conscious decision to break with this interest I held.

I hope you enjoy it!
