I was down to 4 chebs (81.7 kg, 180 lb) early last week (around Tuesday-ish; see [livejournal.com profile] milixograke for details), which was my interim goal for my diet.

Then, on Thursday, I decided I was bored of no snacks and had some. Besides, I rationalised, I had originally wanted to give up chocolate for Lent, and Easter was over. I also bought some leftover Easter treats and indulged on Friday.

On Saturday (yesterday), we went shopping with Debby, and I bought some chocolates.

Saturday morning I weighed over 84 kg (185 lb). I vaguely hoped Debby's scales are calibrated differently than ours, but Stella said she weighed what she expected on them.

This morning, I weighed exactly 85.0 kg (187.4 lb), which had been my starting weight at the beginning of my diet, and the weight Stella had said some time ago I shouldn't exceed.

So the 3.3 kg (7.3 lb) I lost in four weeks I gained back in two days.

...I think I'll have another chocolate.

Don't stress about it. You didn't really gain 3.3 kg in 2 days, that's basically impossible.

The weight will disappear over the next couple of days if you go back to a healthier diet.

If you gained it in 2 days, I will bet dollars to donuts that your gain was little more than water weight or a temporary bulge.

Hah.

You sound like me bitching about my weight. It seems that you gained more water weight than anything. If you weigh yourself four times a day, you'll notice how crzaily it can fluctuate. Best time to weigh yourself is after you pee first thing in the morning. Even skip brushing your teeth.
Weigh yourself throughout the day if you can, and maybe you'll have more confidence in your weight loss, knowing most of the excitement is in your head. (That and weight loss is SO cliche. ;) )

Enjoy.

Hey - that sort of short-term stuff comes straight back off with healthy eating. Probably is mostly fluids. I've done the same from 3 days of camping and unhealthy eating. I'd put back on the 3kg I'd lost according to my scales this morning. However after a long ride it didn't look anywhere near as scary *grin*.
