What a wonderful toy our new digital camera is!

I've made over 200 pictures already trying it out :) (Though most of them have since been deleted.)

Now here's where our kid's baby albums will be sharply different. Where my two drag out gigantic bound books, stuffed with photographs, your kid (10 or 12 years from now) will only have to pull out a handful of picture CDs to marvel at how tiny she was or how pretty mommy was or how tired daddy looked.

Yay for technology!!

I'm not quite sure whether that was ironic or not.

I think that pulling out a bunch of gigantic bound books and poring over paper prints is something nifty—I know my sisters and I loved to do that. I imagine that sticking a CD in a drive and looking on the screen doesn't have quite the same charm.

But it is handy for keeping family updated if they're not all in one place—just stick pictures up on the Internet somewhere and then everyone can partake of the latest baby shots.

I suppose there's something to be said for taking pictures with a conventional camera as well, or for making prints of the digital pictures.
