I'm glad you didn't have too much trouble with it! I wasn't sure how much Japanese you knew, but it seemed rather silly to send a postcard from Japan without any Japanese on it. ;)

スウェーデンからの同じ寮に住んでいる女性は挨拶しか分からないよ。英語が分かれば大丈夫だと思う．．． But of course it's always better to speak the language. Still, if you were in Tokyo or Kyoto or any large city, I think you'd get along better than most foreign tourists...

BTW: You have pretty decent Japanese handwriting, as far as I can tell.

Some Westerners that I've seen have rather clunky-looking Japanese. (Even my own first attempts are pretty embarrassing to me when I come across them.)
