Chinese food

Today was training for Elders Quorum Presidencies and High Priest Group Leaders; there was food beforehand but only for those who had signed up.

Since neither Andreas nor I had received notice of this and so hadn't signed up, we decided to go eat out. I remembered there was a Chinese restaurant nearby called Golden (金門飯店), and we tried that.

We both had chicken, though not the same dish.

Afterwards, I wrote on the napkin:

吃 得 很 好

我 們 吃 了

which the waitress was rather impressed with :) She replied with "xièxie", which I fortunately understood.

And it was intended to be "we enjoyed the food very much" or "the food was very good".

That'll be 好吃 ("delicious"), rather than 吃得好 ("eats well" or "is well-fed"), e.g. 這裡的雞肉很好吃。
