Stella and I just got back from the cinema, were we watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban—she in German and I in English. (Strangely enough, the German version had a 15-minute break after 90 minutes, while the English one didn't.)

I thought it was fairly decent, except for one scene which taxed my suspension of disbelief somewhat, namely where Harry ran down to the lakeside to where Sirius was lying while Snape was up with the others. It seemed uncharacteristic of Snape to just let him go like that.

I'm not sure whether it's because it's been a while since I read the book and I don't clearly remember what's in it and what's not, or because I'm not much of a fangirl. But at any rate, I think not knowing the book so well contributed to my enjoyment of the film :)

Hey, I know the book and still enjoyed it. But I am still annoyed by some of the detail changes. =P (There's an entry earlier in my journal that you can read now, now that they won't be spoilers!)
