Kewl. I was just thinking a bit ago "I should fiddle about with C++ and teach myself." But I refused the concept of paying a buttload of bucks to Micro$oft.

"Free" is a much better solution.

Though if you wanted "free", gcc has been around for Windows for quite a while, in various forms (e.g. DJGPP for DOS/Win9x, MinGW, Cygwin), and Borland made their Borland C++ Builder available for free a while back IIRC.
