We have ordered a pram now… and are about €540 poorer. Let's hope it'll be good for our needs.

I'm glad that the whole business is over.

Gah! $540 Euros! Ack!

(I have sticker shock about this whole baby thing, can you tell?)

What does "sticker shock" mean?

And yeah, it was pretty expensive, and we could probably have got something cheaper. But (a) this also paid for peace of mind (no more looking around and comparing and stuff) and (b) we hope it'll be robust enough to survive two or three children. Stella said that a number of cheaper models also looked more flimsy.

"sticker shock" is being surprised at the high prices of things. The idea being that the price appears on a sticker/label attached to the product.

And I totally understand what you mean about wanting it to last through multiple children.

I haven't figured out what kind of stroller to get yet, but I would rather get something of higher quality that could be used with future children, rather than something that will break easily.
