Who knew that there's an official translation of Fox Trot into Spanish?

now that i've taken almost two complete weeks of spanish, i was able to understand half of one frame :p

I heard of one Spanish class where the teacher said, on day 1, "Today you will learn 200 [or some similarly large number] Spanish words!"

And she then gave them a list of words that were cognates of English words: words so similar in form and in meaning that they are immediately recognisable ("chocolate", "situación", that sort of thing).

on the first day, my professor said "i'm going to be teaching this class in spanish. it's okay if you don't know what's going on for a while. you'll understand things i say by the end of next week."
