Random memory

When I was younger, there was a picture of me in the local newspaper in an article about a flea market that had been held.

The picture showed me in a folding chair with an umbrella propped up against my shoulder (it had been drizzling), reading a book. Lots of things to buy or just look at, and what was Philip doing? Reading. :)

I read at RECESS in elementary school. Climb trees? Run around like crazy? Why, I'm gonna sit in the shade and read a book!
For that matter, I read during lunch in middle and high school. And on the bus, and before classes.

Ooh, me too!

The best place to find me during lunch break was in the library.

I remember one year when they tried to make sure we ate something in the aula during lunch break - I think I spent about five minutes there until I was done eating before I'd disappear into the library.

Mmm, books.
