Urg. When Stella told me this morning it had snowed during the night, I didn't think much of it -- it was only a few millimetres outside. But now it's started snowing again... so I'll have to walk to work through the snow. And it's only November!

(On the other hand, I should probably be grateful that the Gulf Stream ensured I didn't see the snow two months earlier, or whatever.)

Despite the fact that we can get snow in October or November, it's still dicey whether we'll have a white Christmas, and has been that way for about ten years. It used to be fairly consistent, but lately the pattern has tended to be strong snowfalls in the first two week of December which melt around the 20th... and then sometimes it snows again just before Christmas and sometimes it doesn't.
