Inspired by this entry of [livejournal.com profile] q_skud_'s (and this one)—would someone like to swap friends pages with me for a day? As in, I read their friends page instead of mine that day, and they read my friends page instead of theirs. Preferably someone with whom I don't share that many friends.

Which day to swap to be arranged after I've found someone.

I don't quite understand. You can always read other people's friends pages whenever you want. You just can't see protected entries that you're not supposed to be seeing, and I think that's a Good Thing™. :)

Sure. It's just, perhaps, an interesting thing to arrange such a situation, if possible with someone recommending themselves and their friends list.

I peek at your Friends view on occasion, actually =)

BTW, do you know what happened to [livejournal.com profile] foxtrot_feed? And is there another source of Foxtrot now?

Oh! Maybe I should make my Default View public, then... I've got so much on my friends list that seeing it all is probably pretty cluttered.

No, I don't; I can only guess. Looking at the userinfo, you can tell that it was suspended; I'm guessing that the FoxTrot website complained that their copyrighted material was being disseminated without authorisation (and without the advertisements they show on the site).

I think the FoxTrot feed was run by a LiveJournal user who screen-scraped the comics site with a script - it wasn't an official feed.

I was a bit annoyed, too, but it's kind of an "occupational hazard" with comic strip feeds, pretty much all of which are set up without the knowledge or content of the respective comics syndicate. A number of feeds have been suspended in the past, e.g. several Dilbert ones.

And is there another source of Foxtrot now?

Why, FoxTrot.com (http://www.foxtrot.com/), of course! Or uComics.com (http://www.ucomics.com/foxtrot/).

...I presume you were referring to a LiveJournal syndicated account, though. I don't know of one, though I'd be interested.

There's [livejournal.com profile] foxtrotfans, though, which is a community where someone used to post the latest comic image by hand every day—but they stopped doing that nearly exactly a year ago (http://www.livejournal.com/community/foxtrotfans/121241.html), pointing to [livejournal.com profile] foxtrot_feed.

No worries. I like it being more random =) And I use the show=P, show=C and show=Y filters.

Re: Foxtrot Feed

Yeah, that's what I figured too. *shrug* Ah well. I'll miss the stupid comments. =D
