Yes, but what about the non-commutative case?

So that's what it was! It seemed a bit unnatural to me, but I couldn't put my finger on the ungrammatical part.

Hee! Erika can't reach the keyboard on the laptop, but she can reach the touchpad -- she already deleted part of something I was writing once!

It took me at least six scroll-bys of this post to get it.

I feel colossally stupid. >.

Awwww! So Cute!
Curious: Where/how-hard-to-type is the ü on German keyboards?

(As a misanthropic curmudgeon I have to say that this's been my favourite Amy post so far!)

Curious: Where/how-hard-to-type is the ü on German keyboards?

It's the to right of the 'P' key; the top row is qwertzuiopü+. (And the second row is asdfghjklöä#, so the other two umlauts are also easily accessible. Fortunately, German only has three umlauts, so they all fit into the keyboard fairly well. ß is to the right of the 0 key.)

This is not so good for programmers since {[]} are on AltGr+7890, so you need to hit a modifier key (one reason why a colleague of mine would switch her keyboard to American when programming -- also, you typically don't need the umlauts as much when programming since many parts are restricted to ASCII anyway).

Yeah, I can see how that would stink for programming! Although, I suppose it would depend somewhat on the language, of course.
